With several years experience creating cell and gene therapy products, Mike has expertise in aseptic cell culture, cell counting, viability and cryopreservation techniques, ELISA assays, as well as immunohistochemistry and FACS. He has also worked in cellular plasmid transfection, RNA extraction and qPCR, developing skills as a result of his MSc project and time spent working as a research technician.
February 2022: Mike is currently enjoying a six month career break spending time in South America and South East Asia.
Mike enjoys keeping fit through a variety of sports as well as travelling and experiencing new cultures. He also enjoys watching live music, playing the guitar, bass and piano, and otherwise you’ll find him trying to perfect his beer brewing technique.
