iPSC Project – European Biotech

eXmoor collaborated with an innovative biotech to translate their adherent iPSC process towards a suspension culture in preparation for large scale clinical manufacturing.

Key parameters were assessed in eXmoor’s process development labs including GMP media screening, evaluation of stirred tank systems, culture conditions (DO, agitation etc), harvest optimisation and cryopreservation using a number of DOE studies.

Through the process development the previously adherent process was translated to suspension and scaled up to 3 L volume. Subsequent work will assess suitability at larger scales (10 to 50 L’s) and the establishment of a fully closed GMP compliant process.
