GMP Manufacturing

Cell Banking

Robust cell banking is essential to ensure consistent, scalable GMP manufacturing of allogeneic cell therapy products or viral gene therapies. We provide comprehensive support across cell bank production, storage, and quality control, helping you establish a strong foundation for your therapy’s success.

Secure Your Starting Materials with Confidence

For allogeneic cell therapies or viral gene therapies, the cell bank is the critical starting material from which all future clinical and commercial batches are derived. Any variability or compliance gaps at this stage can have downstream consequences across the product lifecycle.

We have experience banking a range of cell types including iPSCs, MSCs, and HEK293 cells, enabling us to support diverse therapeutic platforms. Our cell banking services are designed to reduce risk and ensure regulatory readiness from the start. We understand the technical challenges of generating consistent, high-quality banks and support clients in aligning their strategy with regulatory expectations.

Our Approach

We provide GMP-compliant cell banking as a standalone service or as part of your broader clinical manufacturing programme. With four independently serviced Grade C cleanroom modules, we can dedicate a fully segregated space to cell banking activities, ensuring containment and compliance.

Banks are produced using 2D or 3D systems with capacity for up to 250 vials per batch, depending on the cell line. Controlled-rate freezing is followed by long-term storage in monitored ultra-low freezers or vapour-phase nitrogen tanks.

Every project is managed by our GMP quality team with full batch documentation and QP certification. QC testing is performed in-house and via GMP approved and audited contract testing laboratories, tailored to the specific requirements of your cell type and regulatory strategy.
