Lee Markwick

PhD

Senior CMC Translation Consultant

“I share the eXmoor team’s passion for supporting the industry to bring innovative cell and gene therapies to patients who really need them. By working closely with our clients to define their manufacturing and CMC strategies at an early stage of development, we can accelerate the timeframe to bring these medicines to patients whilst improving the long-term viability, sustainability, and affordability of these therapies as commercialized products.”

Lee studied at the University of Nottingham and received a first-class degree BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry & Genetics and a Ph. D. in Therapeutics and Molecular Medicine.

As a Senior CMC Translation Consultant in cell and gene therapy, Lee leads and support clients with their translation, manufacturing, and CMC strategy from pre-clinical to commercially approved therapies.

Through previous roles at Orchard Therapeutics, Miltenyi Biotec, Novartis and as post-doctoral researcher at King’s College London, Lee has more than 11 years’ experience in cell and gene therapy. He is passionate about bringing these medicines to patients who need them the most.

Lee is based in Cork, Ireland. In his spare time, Lee enjoys running, hiking, reading fantasy books and spending time with his family.
